A musician who died at a gym earlier this week has been described as a "lovely guy" who "oozed class".
Paramedics were called to what the ambulance service described as a "medical emergency" at Nuffield Health Fitness and Wellbeing Centre in Worcester on Tuesday evening.
Patient Connor Maher, from the city, was declared dead at the scene.
His friend Luke Simons, the founder of music event Woo Fest, said: "He was loved by everybody, such an amazing guy but I think musically, he was such an incredible talent. He oozed class - he was just one of those people, a unique person that when you meet him you don't forget them."
Mr Simons said his late friend had been "critical" to the success of Woo Fest, a charity music festival that raises money for St Richard's Hospice.
"He was very important [to Woo Fest] especially at the beginning when we didn't know what we were doing.
"To have someone like Connor who knew the local music scene so well, who could not only play at the festival, but also recommend other people to play was critical."
He added: "As a musician, he will be remembered for his great guitar playing and his powerful vocals.
"And as a person, I think he will be remembered as being someone who never had a bad word to say against anyone."
'Nothing could be done'
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to a medical emergency at Nuffield Health Fitness and Wellbeing Centre on Droitwich Road at [20:41 BST] - two ambulances and the Midlands Air Ambulance Critical Care Car attended the scene.
"On arrival we found one patient, a man. He was already receiving medical attention from bystanders.
"Ambulance staff immediately began administering advanced life support but sadly, despite everyone's best efforts, it became apparent nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene."
