Passenger dies and driver in hospital after crash

A man has died and another man is in hospital with serious injuries after a crash in Devon, police have said.
Devon and Cornwall Police said "a male passenger from the Plymouth area was pronounced deceased at the scene" after the crash near the B3417 between Plympton and Lee Moor on Tuesday night.
Officers said emergency services were called at about 22:00 BST to the single-vehicle crash.
Police said: "The driver, also a male from the Plymouth area, was taken to hospital where he is being treated for serious injuries."
The B3417 was closed for a number of hours for investigation and recovery work.
