A woman has been arrested on suspicion of shooting an air rifle at two teenagers.

Police were called to Beach Road in Hemsby, Norfolk, at 15:57 BST on Saturday.

One boy was taken to the James Paget University Hospital and discharged later; the other treated at the scene.

The woman, in her 50s, was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, possession of an offensive weapon and possession of a Class B drug.

She was taken to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre for questioning and was released on bail until 2 July.

The BBC understands the boys were staying at a holiday park and participating in a sporting event.

Police have not given any further details about the incident or its exact location.
