Glass recycling bags available from garden centres

People can now collect glass recycling bags from Stan Brouard, Guernsey Gardens and Queux Plant Centre.

Guernsey Waste has opened new pick-up points for glass recycling bags in three garden centres.

Bags can be collected from Stan Brouard, Guernsey Gardens and Queux Plant Centre.

Douglas Button, from Guernsey Waste, said: "The glass bags were previously only available for collection from the Household Waste & Recycling Centre and at all the parish constables offices.

"The garden centres are open at different hours to existing collection points and increase the number of locations the glass bags are available from."

He added he hoped other garden centres would "also be happy to help distribute them".
