A woman has been arrested following reports a van was deliberately driven at bollards outside a business park in Leicester.

Police said officers were called to Meridian Business Park shortly before 05:15 BST on Tuesday and found two groups had locked themselves on to the top of the van and a nearby fence.

The 24-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of being equipped for locking on and remains in custody.

The force said while it supported the right to protest peacefully, immediate action would be taken against anyone seeking to commit crime and damage property.

It also added officers remained at the scene.
