A man has been reported to the procurator fiscal following a hit-and-run in Fife.

A 54-year-old man was taken to Victoria Hospital with serious injuries following the incident at the Hendry Road Junction in Kirkcaldy at about 17:50 on Wednesday.

Police later attended the scene and appealed for information to trace a driver who left the scene before officers arrived.

A 57-year-old man has since been reported in connection with road traffic offences.
