Four people have been arrested after a man was stabbed outside a takeaway in Kidderminster at the weekend.

West Mercia Police said officers were called to the Pizza Lounge, on Dudley Street, at about 18:10 BST on Saturday.

A 28-year-old man was found injured and taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham for treatment.

Officers have arrested four men, aged 18, 34, 35 and 37, on suspicion of wounding with intent.

West Mercia Police said on Monday that the injured man had now been discharged from hospital.

Det Ch Insp Emma Whitworth said teams believed the stabbing was "an isolated incident" and there was "no wider threat" to the public.

She also appealed for any witnesses to come forward.
