James, The Human League and Callum Beattie are among the first headliners to be confirmed for next summer's Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival.

Other artists announced include Mika, Razorlight, Kula Shaker, Symphonic Ibiza, Scouting for Girls and Brooke Combe.

The music event near Beauly in the Highlands celebrated its 21st anniversary this year.

Manchester indie band James, whose hits included Sit Down and Laid in the 1990s and Getting Away With It in 2001, are returning to Bella's main stage for the first time since 2013.

The Human League - who will be marking their 45th birthday - are making their first appearance at the festival.

The synth pop band have sold more than 20 million records, with Don't You Want Me being one of their biggest hits.

Callum Beattie played Bella in 2022 and 2024.

His manager revealed during a performance in Glasgow's OVO Hydro arena on Saturday that Beattie would be a headliner next year.

Singer-songwriter Mika is probably best-known for 2007's Grace Kelly.

Soul artist Brooke Combe will be joined by a whole host of other Scottish acts including Trail West, Torridon and Valtos.

Festival organiser Dougie Brown said: "We're excited to share the first wave of artists for Belladrum 2026.

"We've curated a line-up that celebrates everything Bella stands for, great live music, discovery, and a strong sense of community."

He added: "Having James back feels like welcoming old friends back home, and bringing Callum his first-ever major headline festival slot really sums up what we're about, growing together and being part of incredible artists journeys."

Bella will open on 30 July and close on 1 August.

The festival was started on the historic Belladrum Estate in 2004 as a one-day event with tickets for just 2,000 people.

It has since grown to cover three days and draws a crowd of about 20,000 people.

Over the years Sir Tom Jones, Lewis Capaldi, Bastille, CMAT, Texas and Peter Capaldi have performed there.
