Epsom police crackdown on anti-social behaviour

Anti-social behaviour sparked the police order

A dispersal order will be put in place in a Surrey town centre this weekend to confront rowdy behaviour.

The measure in Epsom Town Centre will allow officers to order anyone suspected of anti-social behaviour to leave the area or face arrest.

It will in place in from 18:00 GMT on Friday until Sunday.

Surrey Police Insp Tommy Pearson said: "We want the local community to be able to enjoy visiting the town and feel safe when doing so.

"Those who visit Epsom to commit anti-social behaviour will be dealt with robustly."

The force urged anyone who notices any rowdy beheaviour to contact them "straight away".
