Two men have died after their car crashed into a wall.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Hill Road in Eccleston, Chester, shortly after the black Vauxhall Astra crashed at around 01:40 BST on Sunday.

The passenger, aged 47, from Rossett, Wrexham, sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment but died as a result of his injuries.

The 25-year-old driver from Smallwood, Cheshire, died at the scene, Cheshire Police said.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses and video footage of the incident.
