A man has been charged with the murder of another man who was found fatally injured at a house in Derby.

Emergency services were called to Witney Close in Allenton at 13:45 GMT on Thursday.

Anthony Tipper, 47, who was known as Tony, was pronounced dead at the scene, Derbyshire Police said.

Simon Thomason, 52, of Hawthorn Street in Derby, has been charged with murder and will appear at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates' Court later.

Three other men, in their 30s, 40s and 50s, were arrested in connection with the incident and have all been released on bail.
