Parish officials have decided to move a bus stop back to its previous location after a woman complained its most recent site was spoiling her privacy.

The St Helier Roads Committee wanted it to be moved back to the Whitely Close junction at Grands Vaux, around the corner from where it was placed.

Louise Carter said people were sitting on her doorstep and staring into her living room as they waited for the bus.

She is happy it's moving, but worries other people will have those issues when it does.

"I’m delighted that I’m not having to see the bus stop, it was only the five buses this morning when I was trying to get ready.

"With my bathroom and my living room both facing the bus stop, it’s not great."

The infrastructure department said it is responsible for moving the stop, and will speak with the Roads Committee in the coming days.
