A man has denied threatening to kill Nigel Farage in a video posted on TikTok.

Fayaz Khan is accused of making the threats against the Reform UK leader and other people using the social media platform between 12 and 15 October.

The 26-year-old, of no fixed abode, allegedly posted the message about the Clacton MP during his journey from his native Afghanistan to the UK.

He was remanded in custody at Westminster Magistrates' Court.

At Southwark Crown Court on Thursday, Mr Khan pleaded not guilty to one count of making threats to kill.

He then appeared at the Westminster court earlier, where he pleaded not guilty to a second charge of sending a grossly offensive TikTok video during the same dates.

Mr Khan appeared in the dock wearing a grey tracksuit and spoke only to confirm his identity and enter his plea.

He is due to appear at Southwark Crown Court for a further hearing on 27 August.
