Fifteen-year-old boy charged after teen stabbed

A teenager has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent after a man was stabbed.

Dorset Police were called to reports of a disturbance at an address in Vale Road, Poole, at around 00:05 BST on Friday.

An 18-year-old man was taken to hospital, where he remains in a life-threatening condition.

The 15-year-old, who was also charged with threatening with a bladed article, is due to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court on 26 August.

Following an investigation, detectives have made a number of further arrests:

  • A 16-year-old girl from Bournemouth was arrested on suspicion of affray and has been released on bail

  • A 16-year-old boy from Poole was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and has been released on bail

  • A 16-year-old boy from Poole was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and has been released on bail

  • A 15-year-old boy from Poole was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and has been released on bail

  • A 16-year-old boy from Poole was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and has been released on bail

  • A 19-year-old man from the Blandford area was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and has been released under investigation

  • A 16-year-old boy from Poole, arrested on suspicion of affray and assisting an offender, remains in custody

  • A 56-year-old man from Poole was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and has been released under investigation

  • A 35-year-old woman from Poole was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and has been released under investigation

Officers are appealing for anyone who heard or saw a commotion in Vale Road or the surrounding area to come forward.

A police presence is expected to remain in the Ashley Road area.
