Fire put out at Jersey police headquarters
- Published
A fire in the police headquarters in St Helier had to be put out on Tuesday evening, Jersey Fire & Rescue said.
It said firefighters in three appliances attended the building at about 23:15 GMT where a fire had broken out in the server room.
Firefighters wore breathing apparatus to enter the room and put out the fire, which the service said was quickly extinguished.
It said the police had prepared to evacuate the building, including the emergency services control centre to a back-up facility at the ambulance headquarters, but this was stood down as the fire was put out.
No-one was injured and there was no disruption to the 999 service.
