Woman injured after falling on rocks

A woman had to be rescued after falling on to rocks and injuring her leg.

Bridlington Coastguard Team Rescue confirmed it carried the woman to safety on a stretcher at North Landing in Flamborough on 13 April.

Her condition is not known.

Bridlington Coastguard issued a warning to people to be careful when walking in the area.

"We want everyone to enjoy the beauty of our coastal areas but we urge people to take extra care when exploring, especially around uneven or slippery terrain," a spokesperson said.

They added that people should remain aware of their surroundings and be prepared for changing conditions.
