Police are appealing for information after a 12-year-old girl suffered serious leg injuries when she was hit by a car.

The child was struck by a black Ford Fiesta on Vicarage Road in Amblecote, near Stourbridge, at its junction with High Street on 11 September and taken to hospital.

West Midlands Police said the driver stayed at the scene to help with inquiries, but it wanted to hear from anyone who may have seen the collision.

The force is reviewing CCTV footage following the incident, which happened at about 08:15 BST.
