A teenager has been arrested after two young people suffered minor injuries when reportedly a BB gun was fired near a school's ground.

Norfolk Police were called to Wilderness Lane in Harleston, Norfolk, near Harleston Sancroft Academy, on Wednesday at 13:47 BST.

Officers searched the area and did not find anyone, but following inquiries arrested the suspect at his home on suspicion of affray. He has been released on bail until 7 July.

The school's headteacher Rob Connelly reassured parents "at no point were the school's secure site boundaries crossed by the individuals involved".
