Duck race returns after storm disruption in 2024

All money raised goes to The Lihou Charity LBG

A charity duck race is returning in 2025 after it was cancelled last year due to damage caused by Storm Ciarán.
The event takes place on Sunday between 12:30 and 15:00 BST on Lihou Island with funds going towards Lihou House.
All money raised goes to The Lihou Charity LBG, which was set up to maintain and operate Lihou House for the benefit of the community.
The storm, which hit in November 2023 and battered the island with rain and 70 mph (112km/h) winds, damaged properties and caused destruction.
Speaking ahead of the event, organisers said there would be 20 races across the day including 20 ducks per race.
Lihou is a small island off the west coast of Guernsey, which is only accessible at low tide.
