Police name biker killed in South Lanarkshire crash

A biker who died following a crash on the A702 in South Lanarkshire has been named by police as Allan Robertson.

Emergency services attended the scene near Elvanfoot at around 12:20 on 22 September following reports of an accident involving an orange Triumph motorcycle.

The 58-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said investigations are ongoing and urged any drivers with dash-cam footage to get in touch, external.

Constable Graeme Marshall from the Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of Mr Robertson as they come to terms with their loss."
