City decorated with banners which misspell name

A city centre has been decorated with signs which misspell its own name.
Residents of Carlisle spotted huge banners promoting a local gallery and museum, two of which read: "Welcome to Carlise" and "We Love you Carlise We Do".
Printed to promote Tullie's exhibition celebrating 120 years of Carlisle United, the affected signs can be found on Warwick Road and Castle Street.
The museum took to social media to acknowledge the error and said the "days of Carlise are numbered" and "amended replacements with the correct distribution of 'L's for the few affected banners are on the way".
Tullie museum has been part of life in Carlisle since 1893 and its latest exhibition, Backing the Blues: 120 Years of Carlisle United, has had almost 2,500 visitors in its first three weeks.
Speaking about the spelling mistake, a spokesperson said: "We were really pleased to be able to promote the Carlisle United exhibition in what is a new and very visible way.
"An unfortunate typo on a few of the banners has marred this slightly, the sort that only seems to show its face once production is complete."
They added: "Plenty of people laid eyes upon the designs and somehow, we all missed it."
Tullie added it planned on giving the "Carlise" banners away so "the people of Carlisle can own a little slice of human error history".
The exhibition, which runs until 10 November, feature audio recordings, fan memorabilia and behind the scenes footage of the Blues.
Some items which make up the display were donated by lifelong supporters following a public appeal.
