A man has been arrested after cocaine with an estimated street value of €10.5m (£9.1m) was seized at Rosslare Europort in the Republic of Ireland.

Gardaí (Irish police) and Revenue's customs service carried out an intelligence-led operation targeting serious organised crime activity on Monday.

During the operation, a truck and trailer unit travelling from Europe was searched at the County Wexford port.

The search revealed an elaborate lead-lined hide in the fuel tank of the vehicle.

Approximately 150kg worth of cocaine was discovered.

The arrested man, aged in his 50s, remains in custody.
