Jersey's students have achieved better GCSE exam grades on average than their counterparts in England.
In Jersey 77% of GCSEs were graded at 4-9, compared to 67% in England, while 28% were graded 7-9, compared to 22% in England.
Minister for Education and Lifelong Learning, Deputy Rob Ward, congratulated the island's students: "Every one of you should be proud of your individual journey and personal achievements."
The Skills Jersey careers guidance team said they were available for any student who wanted advice and information after receiving their results on Thursday.
Stuart Hughes, head teacher of Haute Vallée School, said he was "absolutely thrilled" with the school's GCSE grades which were "testament to the students' hard work".
Student Teanna McAvinue said the highest she thought she would get in maths was a grade 4 so she was delighted to have achieved a grade 5.
Her mother Deirdre said she was so proud of her daughter because she had "worked so hard".
Jack Peron, another Haute Vallée student, passed all of his exams and said: "It is good to see the hard work go to a positive."
His friend Kevin Aveiar added: "The buzz of it is unreal, especially since we've been working so hard and we've had the support of all our teachers."
Twins Jana and Kareem Abdellatif said they were happy and proud of one other after they both received good grades.
Jana said: "We both worked really hard so I think we deserved it."
The head of Jersey College for Girls said he was "delighted" to announce an "exceptional" set of GCSE results.
Principal Carl Howarth said 61% of all grades awarded were at the highest band of grades 9-7, and an average grade of 7 across the students.
He said 96% of all grades were at the strong pass of grades 9-5 and the overall pass rate for this year’s GCSE cohort was an "impressive" 99%.
Mr Howarth said: "We are incredibly proud of all our students for their achievements this year.
"Their results are a reflection of the hard work, perseverance, and ambition that they have shown throughout their time at JCG.
"We are equally grateful to our staff and our families, whose unwavering support and dedication have played a crucial role in helping our students achieve their best."
