Man dies after van and lorry crash on motorway

Warwickshire Police said a section of the M40 northbound would be closed for some time

A man has died after a crash between a van and a lorry on a motorway in Warwickshire.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the collision, between junction 12 and 13 of the M40 northbound, near Gaydon, at about 05:45 BST.

The man, who was the driver of the van, was confirmed dead at the scene. The lorry driver was not injured.

Warwickshire Police said the road was likely to remain closed for some time, including access from Warwick services, and asked the public to avoid the area.
