A man has appeared in court charged with murder following the death of a 56-year-old father.

Sean Howson was allegedly attacked in Albany Road, Skegness, at about 20:30 BST on 3 July.

He was taken to hospital but died three days later, Lincolnshire Police said.

Aston Harris, 19, of Uffington Avenue, Lincoln, who was initially charged with grievous bodily harm, denied murder when he appeared at Lincoln Crown Court on Monday.

A provisional trial date has been set for 5 January next year, and Harris was remanded in custody.

Paying tribute to Mr Howson, his family said: "Our dad was one of a kind. We will miss and love him forever and always."
