Arrest made after man suddenly dies at house

A 28-year-old man from Cannock has been arrested in connection with the death.

An arrest has been made after a man died suddenly at a house.

The man in his 60s was pronounced dead by paramedics who were called to an address on Stafford Lane, Hednesford, Staffordshire shortly after 08:00 on Thursday, 17 October.

A cordon was set up at the house and officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death, Staffordshire Police said.

A 28-year-old man from Cannock was arrested in connection with the death and has since been released on conditional bail.

“We’d like to stress that this investigation is in its early stages and we’re actively carrying out enquiries to find out more about what happened,” a police spokesperson added.
