A TV chef is among the list of authors and rising stars attending the Lincoln Book Festival.

Rick Stein, who will be signing copies of his new book, is a part of the "most varied" programme yet, according to the festival's committee.

There will be a variety of events including workshops, competitions and performances.

The festival starts later and runs until 29 September at Lincoln Arts Centre.

Across the four days there will be talks, readings, discussions, workshops and Q&As following this year's theme 'generations'.

There will also be open mic-style performances and podcast talks.

Free events will take place on Saturday, including a meet the author with award-winning children's book writer Jarvis, as well as a story-telling session with panto dame Mama G.

YouTuber, author and LGBT campaigner Jamie Raine is also among the list of guests and will be joined by his podcast co-host Shaaba.

Ian Richards, from the festival's organising committee, said: “The 2024 line-up is our most varied yet, with more opportunities than ever for people to get involved.

“As always, the festival is also a great chance to meet some wonderful guest authors and contributors."

Tickets are available through the Lincoln Arts Centre Box Office. Booking is still required for free events.
