A man in his 50s is being treated in hospital for serious injuries after the van he was driving was involved in a crash with a lorry and a tractor.

The collision happened at about 10:30 GMT on Thursday on the A19 between Easingwold and Thirsk, just south of the village of Thormanby.

The vehicles, a white Peugeot van, a black HGV and a green tractor, were travelling north towards Thirsk.

Anyone who saw the incident, or who has dashcam footage of the road prior to the collision, has been asked to contact North Yorkshire Police.
