Woman spots grandfather's stolen medals in auction

A soldier's war medals have been reunited with his family more than 50 years after they were stolen in a burglary.
The Accrington veteran's granddaughter spotted that medals bearing his name and private number were being sold in an auction in London.
She contacted the auctioneer, who advised her to contact Lancashire Police.
A police spokesman said said the grandfather had passed away in 1970, "not long after they were stolen".
