Arrest made as man suffers life-changing injuries

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man suffered what police called "life-changing injuries".
South Wales Police officers were called to Pontypridd in Rhondda Cynon Taf at about 09:00 BST on Tuesday to reports of an assault.
A 58-year-old man from Pentre was taken to hospital after being injured in a lane between the Probation Service and Kwik Fit.
A 45-year-old woman was arrested and remains in custody. Police said they were not looking for anyone else in connection with the case.
