A book festival is coming to East Yorkshire this weekend.

SpringFest, organised by East Riding Libraries, includes talks by authors and workshops in libraries from 15 to 22 March.

Authors Linda Green and Adam Farrier, and crime novelist Wes Markin are among those taking part.

Councillor Nick Coultish said: "SpringFest promises to be a successful event with an exciting line-up for everyone to get involved in and I am very happy to see it return this year across the East Riding."

Aspiring writers will be able to take part in events including a local author marketplace, giving them the opportunity to promote their work and network with industry experts.

Tickets range from £5 to £7 and all events require pre-booking.

A full programme of events is available on the council's website.
