Arrest after teen cyclist seriously injured by van

A teenage boy has been airlifted to hospital with life-changing injuries after he was struck by a van on a seafront.
The crash happened on The Esplanade, near to the Jubilee Clock Tower, in Weymouth on Thursday, shortly before 17:30 BST.
Dorset Police said a man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and driving offences.
The force said he had since been released under investigation as further inquiries were carried out to establish the full circumstances of what happened.
