Two men have been charged with attempted murder after a man was stabbed.

The victim, aged in his 50s, was attacked at a property in Firs Lane, Folkestone, just before 10:45 BST on Friday, said Kent Police.

He sustained serious injuries, including one consistent with a stab wound, the force said. He remains in a stable condition in a London hospital.

Abdul Gunes, 73, and Necdet Gunes, 45, both from Folkestone, have been remanded into police custody charged with attempted murder.

They are due to appear before Folkestone Magistrates' Court on Monday.

Two other men who were also arrested in connection with the attack have been released without charge, police said.

Officers have appealed for witnesses or anyone with information to contact Kent Police.
