A 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of arson after a fire at a primary school.

No-one was hurt after the blaze broke out in the building on Whalley Road, Hurst Green in the Ribble Valley at about 04:40 BST on Saturday, Lancashire Police said.

Firefighters said one classroom was damaged while the majority of the school was unaffected.

The teenager remains in custody for questioning.

Police have launched an investigation with Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service.

The force urged people to avoid speculation.
