A six-month consultation gathering views on bus gates in Aberdeen city centre closes later on Tuesday.

The city council, external implemented the controversial traffic control measures last August, with the aim of reducing traffic and increasing public transport use.

The gates are in place on Market Street, Guild Street, Union Street and Bridge Street.

Bus operators Stagecoach and First Bus said they had seen a rise in usage and reduced journey times, but the Federation of Small Businesses said the gates had harmed city centre trade.
