Woman charged with murder set to enter plea

A plea and trial preparation hearing has been set for a woman charged with the murder of 44-year-old Gillian Connelly.

Lincolnshire Police were called to Wheeldon Street in Gainsborough at 04:20 BST on Sunday. Ms Connelly was found with serious injuries and died in hospital.

Stephanie McLaggan, 37, of North Warren Road, Gainsborough, appeared at Lincoln Crown Court earlier.

Ms McLaggan was remanded into custody until 30 September when she is due to enter her plea to the murder charge.

Steven Lowther, 45, and Jade Glover, 28, both of Wheeldon Street, were charged with perverting the course of justice in connection with the case.

They also appeared at Lincoln Crown Court and were released on conditional bail.

Both are due to enter pleas to the charges on 30 September.
