An animal charity is appealing for information after a dog was "roughly handled" and "appeared to be hit" in a pub in Shropshire.

The RSPCA said the incident took place at The Albion Vaults in Castle Foregate, Shrewsbury, on 9 June at about 20:00 BST.

“We really do hope this dog, which looks like a Malinois-type, is OK," a spokesperson added.

The charity released an image of a man who they said might be able to help provide information about what happened.
