A man has been charged with murder after the death of a woman.

Olivia Wood, 29, of Northwich, Cheshire, was found in a serious condition by paramedics at an address in Portway, Frome, at 03:00 GMT on Tuesday. She later died in hospital.

Police officers were called to the address by the ambulance service and have not disclosed the nature of her injuries.

Keiron Goodwin, 32, from Frome, has been charged on suspicion of murder and will appear at Bristol Magistrates Court later.

Neighbourhood Inspector Rose Green, of Avon and Somerset Police, said: “Our thoughts at this devastating time are with Olivia’s family who are being supported by a specially trained family liaison officer who will continue to keep them updated of enquiries into her tragic death.

“We’d like to reassure the local community, we do not believe there to be any wider risk to the public.”
