The search for a man who failed to return from a swim in the sea in Cornwall has been called off.
HM Coastguard said a search was launched off Northcott Mouth in Bude at about 21:20 BST on Tuesday after a man did not return to shore after going out with a group of swimmers.
Search and rescue teams, RNLI crews, paramedics and police helped with the search.
It was stood down at about 17:00 on Wednesday and the man remains missing, the coastguard said.
Police said inquiries over the man's disappearance were ongoing.
