Witness search as man hit by car remains in hospital

Two people who may have spoken to a man who was then hit by a car in the road are being asked to come forward by police.

The incident took place on Queens Drive in Swindon on 25 May at 03:20 BST.

The pedestrian, man in his 30s, suffered serious injuries and remains in hospital.

Wiltshire Police said it is looking to identify a man and woman who were walking towards the town and spoke to the man before the incident happened.

The woman was described as wearing a knee length, light coloured, hooded coat, with a dark rucksack, while the man was described as being around 6ft tall, slim, wearing a dark jacket, jeans or trousers and was also carrying a backpack.

A spokesperson for the force said: "We have released a photo, which is not the best quality, but we hope the people involved may recognise themselves.

"If you can help, or if you have any other information, please contact the Serious Collision Investigation Team."
