The CEO of Islands Energy Group has left her role, the company has said.

Jo Cox joined the company in 2021 and is leaving to pursue a new opportunity, it said.

Aidan Baglow, managing director of Isle of Man Energy, which is part of the Islands Energy Group, has taken over as interim CEO with immediate effect.

He said Mrs Cox had "successfully managed the group through a challenging period", adding, "we wish her well in her new venture".

Islands Energy Group supplies gas to both Jersey and Guernsey, and the Isle of Man.

The company said Mr Baglow, who lives in the Isle of Man, had 36 years experience in the gas industry and joined the group in 2008.
