Firefighters tackle large blaze in corn field

No casualties were reported and the cause of the blaze is not yet known

Firefighters have tackled a large blaze in a corn field in Kent.
Nine fire engines and a bulk water carrier were sent to the incident in Island Road in Hersden, near Canterbury, at 16:34 BST on Monday.
Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) said no casualties were reported and the cause is not yet known.
“Crews used hose reel jets, flexi-packs and other wildfire equipment to extinguish the flames,” a KFRS spokesman said.

Firefighters left the scene at 19:28.
