Work to resurface two main roads in Jersey is set to begin as part of planned improvements.
Sections of Green Street in St Helier will be closed on a weekly basis from Monday 8 January, but local businesses will remain open.
During the resurfacing of Mount Bingham, which is due to start later in the month, there will be a temporary reversal of the traffic direction on South Hill to provide residents easier access to Pier Road Car Park.
The two roads will not be closed off at the same time and the work is expected to take about five weeks.
Diversions will be in place , externaland islanders are encouraged to allow more time for their journeys where possible.
