The existing building will be replaced by a modern glass-fronted structure in Bradford

Proposals for a "significant investment" in a prominent site opposite Odsal Stadium in Bradford have been approved by planning officers.

An application to demolish the vacant Angel Telecom building at Odsal Top and replace it with a modern shop unit was submitted by Harry Khinda.

The application said the Rooley Avenue building, next to the Top House pub, had attracted little interest since closing in 2021, and replacing it with a modern building would help the site find a new tenant, according to the Local Democracy Reporting Service.

Approving the application, planning officers said the new building would "represent an improvement to visual amenity".
