A 77-year-old woman has died after she was hit by a car in a Hampshire town.

The crash involved a blue Vauxhall Meriva and a pedestrian on Milford Road in Lymington at 13:54 BST.

Police have arrested a 60 year-old woman from the town on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. She remains in custody.
