Bin bags of cannabis found in van seized by police

About £20,000 worth of cannabis has been seized by police after it was found stuffed in bin bags in the back of a van in Nottingham.
Officers on patrol in the Broxtowe area of the city on Tuesday night had been following the vehicle for a short while and approached it when it came to a stop in Melford Road.
Nottinghamshire Police said a decision to search the van was made after the driver jumped out and tried to run away.
A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possessing with intent to supply Class B drugs, the force added.
A total of 64 plants were seized, police said.
