Drivers have been warned of a continued risk of standing water on roads across the Isle of Man.

Ronaldsway Met Office said a band of "heavy and persistent" rain was expected through the morning, but showers would turn "patchier" as the afternoon went on.

A yellow weather warning for waves crashing onto coastal roads around the times of high tide remains in place until 01:00 GMT on Thursday.

Forecasters said Shore Road in Rushen and the north of Douglas Promenade were most at risk of debris being brought ashore.

The Isle of Man Fire and Rescue service has also urged people make sure drains and gullies around their properties are kept clear.

The service said it attended several instances of flooding on Tuesday, including the area of Brown Cow Hill in Santon, which had to be closed to traffic for a time.
