A cannabis farm with almost 200 plants has been found at a house in Worcester.

Police raided a property on Teme Road on Monday after people in the area raised concerns about the drug being grown.

Officers found 189 plants growing, as well as the drug being dried before being sold and a 22-year-old man was arrested at the house on suspicion of production of cannabis.

West Mercia police said drug production on this scale was usually linked to "organised crime groups, whose activities fuel further criminality, including modern slavery."

"Tackling these operations is vital to protecting our communities and keeping them safe from harm,” the force added.
