A home has been closed for three months after police said several vulnerable young people were found at the address.

The full closure order was served on 81 Princes Street in Peterborough on Wednesday following a successful application at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court by the Cambridgeshire Constabulary's local neighbourhood policing team (NPT).

The force said it received numerous reports from the community regarding anti-social behaviour and concerns around drugs use and supply at the property.

The home has been closed to everyone except emergency services and the landlord until 11 September.

PC Nikki Timms, from Peterborough’s eastern NPT, said: “Our efforts to tackle the concerns raised to us by the community have been ongoing and further action needed to be taken.

“I hope that this closure order not only provides the local residents with reassurance, but also the wider community that we do listen to their concerns and are working hard to protect all members of the areas we police.”

Anyone with information about the order being breached should contact police.
