- Published
An injured walker had to rescued after falling near a hilltop in the Southern Uplands on Saturday morning.
The Moffat and Tweed Valley mountain rescue teams were called out to the incident on Tinto Hill.
Due to strong winds the woman could not be safely winched so she had to be taken to a point where a helicopter could land.
She was then flown down to a nearby car park where she was taken by ambulance to hospital for treatment.
